Roger’s broad, extensive and long service in safety, gives him a unique outlook, when reviewing companies Safety Systems and Workplaces.

His view from the outside looking in, allows him to see and understand the safety impact, without the intimate knowledge of the process, which usually colours the workforce and management of that industry.  Systems written from within often assume knowledge, leaving the company vulnerable.

Roger’s Professional Independent Advice will allow your company to review it’s systems from all aspects, so that they are correct, concise and understandable by the workforce that is most at risk, your shop floor staff, while giving management a simple, efficient and cost effective safety system.

Roger began his career in safety during 1978 following fourteen years in the Royal Air Force.

His first post was as Site Safety Officer at the Barbican Arts Centre in the City of London. He subsequently joined Taylor Woodrow and for the next ten years covered various roles, including special advisor, working with Thames Water, Northwest Water and during 1988 was asked to research the forthcoming COSHH regulations. Several university courses and seminars later, he wrote the COSHH manual for the group, the format of which he still uses today.

In 1996 he joined Ardmore Construction to design and write a Complete Safety System. staying to manage the growing safety department of six. Moving on to Foster Yeoman Ltd. to write other safety systems.

In 2003 the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM) awarded him his Fellowship and his new ambition is to pass on his wide and extensive Health, Safety, Welfare and Environmental knowledge, in a clear and understandable way, for all to understand.
